Our Fireplace Service Checklist:

1. Clean & polish glass with Imperial Fireplace Glass Cleaner

2. Inspect Glass for cracks, chips and other damage

3. Vacuum thoroughly the inside and outside of the fireplace

4. Check fireplace flue for cracks and holes in venting

5. Clean and test Thermocouple

6. Clean and test Thermopile

7. Test and inspect Combination Gas Safety Valve

8. Test gas working pressure

9. Clean fan and test operation

10. Check flue gasses for increased levels of carbon monoxide

11. Inspect logs and media assembly

12. Check firebox gasket seal

13. Check fireplace for any gas leaks

14. Test fireplace operation after completion of maintenance

To get the optimal performance from your gas fireplace, we recommend an annual service to keep it looking and running like new and also to ensure your equipment is running safely, so call us on (604) 906 2992 to schedule a service. The best time to have your fireplace serviced is at the end of fall around October time, just before you turn it on for the winter.

• Can you connect my home to Natural Gas? Absolutely we are certified and registered BC Gas Fitters. If you choose to connect your home to natural gas, Fortis BC offers up to $3700 in rebates.
